Hello CTMH Friends!
I can't believe January is almost over! Time went by so quickly since the holidays!
Today, I would like to share a cute little treat holder I made using a regular large mailing envelope! These are perfect for kids, friends, family, grandparents, and neighbors!
Super inexpensive and fun to giveaway!
My friend Lynn Darda shared this envelope idea with me recently! Thanks, Lynn! :)
Isn't that little pig just the cutest?!! Here's how I made the treat holder:
First, I took a long mailing envelope and cut it on one end to create my bag. So there's no confusion, one end was already cut off in this pic.
Second, I cut 3 1/2" off the end. You can create two bags with one envelope!
Third, you will now lick or dampen the envelope to seal it shut.
This is the back of the envelope. I didn't cover this one with paper yet so you
could see what the back looks like. You will want to cover the back with B&T paper or cardstock to cover that not so attractive envelope. I punched a hole on each end at the top front. Not through the back piece. Pull ribbon through at both ends and tie a knot in front to keep the handle in place after you have decorated the front of your bag.
Here's a side view. Make sure you use strong adhesive to assemble your bag. It will keep it from coming apart after adding the candy. Add candy or a gift card! Super cute!!
You can order these products that were used on this treat holder: Punny Pals stamp set, black cardstock, Adventure ribbon pack, heart thin cuts, circle thin cuts, black shimmer trim, black and white dots, Whimsey Fundamentals paper pack, Archival black ink pad, watercolor paints, watercolor brushes, and thin 3-D foam tape. Happy Hearts Day and Happy Creating!
