I really, really love the Chelsea Gardens paper and stamps! I fell in love with them the second I saw them! These papers are getting me excited for Spring!
I wanted to create a pretty layered card using this paper and that gorgeous
butterfly from the Chelsea Garden - Cardmaking stamp set. I used the Basic Circles thin
cuts to create a circle frame. I placed the large circle thin cut on top of a piece of charcoal cardstock and placed the medium circle inside of the large circle and then ran it through my Cuttlebug. This creates an opening in the center. The butterfly was stamped with the Black Archival stamp pad and colored with the watercolor pencils blending the color using the clear shimmer brush. The shimmer brush adds so much shimmer and sparkle to any project! This is one of my favorite products!
I added a few Chelsea Gardens Dots and Gems. I totally love these!
This card was inspired by the new "Make it from Your Heart" Volume 4 card pattern book. You're going to love this new book filled with fun patterns for creating a variety of beautiful cards!

Now hop on over to Shelly's blog to see her amazing artwork!

Enjoy! :)

Happy Creating!

Liz

  3. What a beautiful card, Liz! I never think to blend my water color pencils with a shimmer brush, but it’s such a beautiful effect. MUST remember to do that! Thanks for sharing your lovely card!
