Fresh Air Sunburst Card and Instructions

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am excited to share another one of my favorite cards! A sunburst card! You can create these cards using your favorite paper packet and any combinations of patterns! This card is my favorite!! They are so much fun! I hope the following instructions will help you create your own sunburst card! Have fun!! :)

Cut a piece of white cardstock at 5"x 2 3/4" for the
sunburst base.

Cut 2-4 of your choice of patterned paper
at 1 1/2" x 4". I selected two
patterns and cut 6 for this card.

Cut your 1 1/2" x 4 piece corner to corner using
your paper trimmer.
It should look like this.

Measure and mark 2 1/2" (halfway mark) on the white base.

Line up the grooves at the 2 1/2" mark. Glue these next to each other
rotating the patterns.

Your white base will look like this when you are done.

Flip your base over and trim all edges using your scissors or paper trimmer.

Your base should look like this! You have now created a sunburst base!

I glued these additional pieces to create my Fresh Air card.
I glued the sunburst base to a piece of nutmeg cardstock that measures 5 1/4" x 4". The glacier strip is 3/4" x 5 1/4". The brown strip
is 1/2" x 5". I glued all pieces to a standard size card 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
I stamped "Just Breathe" in nutmeg ink using the Fresh Air cardmaking stamp
set. I added some ribbon at the top and shapes and sequins to the right side of the sentiment.
You have now created a sunburst card! Yay! :) If you have any questions, please send me an email

Hogs and Kisses Treat Holder

Hello CTMH Friends!

I can't believe January is almost over! Time went by so quickly since the holidays!
Today, I would like to share a cute little treat holder I made using a regular large mailing envelope! These are perfect for kids, friends, family, grandparents, and neighbors!
Super inexpensive and fun to giveaway!
My friend Lynn Darda shared this envelope idea with me recently! Thanks, Lynn! :)

Isn't that little pig just the cutest?!! Here's how I made the treat holder:

First, I took a long mailing envelope and cut it on one end to create my bag. So there's no confusion, one end was already cut off in this pic.

Second, I cut 3 1/2" off the end. You can create two bags with one envelope!

Third, you will now lick or dampen the envelope to seal it shut.

This is the back of the envelope. I didn't cover this one with paper yet so you
could see what the back looks like. You will want to cover the back with B&T paper or cardstock to cover that not so attractive envelope. I punched a hole on each end at the top front. Not through the back piece. Pull ribbon through at both ends and tie a knot in front to keep the handle in place after you have decorated the front of your bag.

Here's a side view. Make sure you use strong adhesive to assemble your bag. It will keep it from coming apart after adding the candy. Add candy or a gift card! Super cute!!

You can order these products that were used on this treat holder: Punny Pals stamp set, black cardstock, Adventure ribbon pack, heart thin cuts, circle thin cuts, black shimmer trim, black and white dots, Whimsey Fundamentals paper pack, Archival black ink pad, watercolor paints, watercolor brushes, and thin 3-D foam tape. These can all be ordered here: http://lizjohnson.closetomyheart.com

Happy Hearts Day and Happy Creating!

Rose Blossom Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Seasonal Expressions 1 Rose Blossom Blog Hop!

Thank you for stopping by! You may have hopped from the
Rose Blossom Legacies and the blog from our amazing talented leader, Brenda Rose
or you may be starting here.
Just follow the links for some awesome creative inspiration!
Enjoy all the creativity from our brand new Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog!

I really, really love the Chelsea Gardens paper and stamps! I fell in love with them the second I saw them! These papers are getting me excited for Spring!
I wanted to create a pretty layered card using this paper and that gorgeous
butterfly from the Chelsea Garden - Cardmaking stamp set. I used the Basic Circles thin
cuts to create a circle frame. I placed the large circle thin cut on top of a piece of charcoal cardstock and placed the medium circle inside of the large circle and then ran it through my Cuttlebug. This creates an opening in the center. The butterfly was stamped with the Black Archival stamp pad and colored with the watercolor pencils blending the color using the clear shimmer brush. The shimmer brush adds so much shimmer and sparkle to any project! This is one of my favorite products!
I added a few Chelsea Gardens Dots and Gems. I totally love these!
This card was inspired by the new "Make it from Your Heart" Volume 4 card pattern book. You're going to love this new book filled with fun patterns for creating a variety of beautiful cards!

Now hop on over to Shelly's blog to see her amazing artwork!

Enjoy! :)

Happy Creating!
