Little Dreamer Birthday Wishes Card

Thank you for visiting my blog today! I would like to share another sunburst card with you using the Little Dreamer papers and a fun technique! I made this card for an upcoming card class in July.

These cute papers make me happy! They are so bright and fun to work with! 

As many of you know, I love creating cards using the sunburst technique! It's one of my all time favorites! I love matching up the papers and creating a rainbow of colors to each card!

As I was designing my card I was really wanting to use the unicorn from one of the pocket plus cards (This is great way to use up those extra cards!) that we carry in our Little Dreamer paper packet. So I took our circle thin cuts and this is what I came up with:

First, I cut out my pocket plus card from the other cards in the paper packet.

Second, I took the largest circle from the circle thin cuts and placed it over the unicorn. Making sure the circle was even.

Third, I used my Cuttlebug machine and cut the unicorn out. Super easy! Now I have a circle of my unicorn to place over the sunburst part of my card. 

I love the thin cuts! You have a variety of sizes to work with! The circles are so much fun!

You can even layer them for an added border. So cute!!

Live Beautifully Rose Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

 

I have taken a few weeks off to recuperate from influenza A. I am feeling better everyday but 

it's been a long recovery! I am happy to finally post and share a pretty card that I had made using Live Beautifully from our National Scrapbooking Month promotion.

I made this card using a rose from the Flower 

Market cartridge and used the gold shimmer brush on the white part of the rose to add some sparkle. I cut the underneath part of the rose from the Live Beautifully paper. The leaves were stamped and cut out and added to the rose. I also cut a strip from the black words B&T that says "Smile" and "Dream" that creates an easy sentiment. Very elegant and easy to make!

I used a few retired items from our last Expressions 1 on this card including our Live Beautifully stamp set and paper packet. 

 

To make the rose I first stamped the rose in:

Z2874 Champagne ink pad $7.95

and took my

Z3224 Waterbrush Small Round $5.95

and used the

Z2875 Cashmere ink pad $7.95

to color the petals and picked up more color to shade.

I colored the leaves using the waterbrush and

Dreamin' Big "One in a Million" Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Peeps!

Thank you for visiting my blog today! Do you have tons of leftover scraps from your paper packets? I have shared this same type of card in the past that will help you get rid of those scraps! I would like to share a fun birthday card using scraps and pocket plus cards from your paper packets. I used Dreamin' Big paper for this card. I have made several of these cards over the past few years and love how each one has it's own look!
I measure the strips in the length so they fit across the card and are long enough. I lined them up first and glued each one as you go. Once all the strips have been glued, I used my scissors or paper trimmer and trimmed the access off.
I took the pocket plus card with the poppy heart at the top and stamped A1201 "One in a Million" in the center using my black ink pad. This stamp fits perfectly on this pocket card. 
I used the thin 3-D foam tape for the pocket plus card and attached to the card. The sequins really add a little shine and sparkle to any project! I used the Dreamin' Big sequins. These are really fun!

Have fun creating using your scraps and adding them to any project! You could even use this technique on a scrapbook page!
