Hello Crafty Friends! I have been busy enjoying my first time paper crafting in my studio since I have been home from the hospital! It was exactly what I needed today! I have been working on some thank you cards and came up with this cute simple card using the "Card Captions" January Stamp of the Month! Love how this card turned out! Hope this card inspires you! Enjoy! Here are the instructions to make this card: 1. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Run this through your Cuttlebug using the Z4232 Swiss Dot embossing folder. Cut a 1/8" off the bottom and one side of your 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece. 2. Cut a piece of Candy Apple cardstock (light side) to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Glue this to your card base. Glue the white cardstock to the Candy Apple cardstock piece.   3. Cut out your flower border using Z4241 Decorative Borders and Peach cardstock.  4. Cut a strip 1/8" x 4 1/8" using the Candy Apple cardst...

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Fall! It's crazy to say I have been in Christmas card mode this past month, I just haven't had a second to create anything Fall or Autumn! Lol This is my first card using the Grateful Heart - Cardmaking set! This is one of my favorite stamp sets in the catalog! That butterfly is gorgeous! You could use all sorts of coloring mediums for that butterfly! Watercolor pencils (colored with or without water) ShinHan markers and blending marker, (which I used here) Shimmer brush, watercolor paints, and stamp pads with a water brush. These all look amazing!  I used the gold shimmer brush over my butterfly after coloring my butterfly. You can't really tell, but it looks very shimmery! Make sure you use a Archival black stamp pad that is waterproof! If you don't, it will tend to bleed.  I used some gold glitter paper to bring out the gold on the butterfly.
