Happy Birthday Card using Jackson

Hi All!

I am sharing a fun birthday card using some leftover scraps from my Jackson paper packet. I shared this same card on my previous posts last week using the June SOTM. This card is fantastic to get rid of those extra scraps! The card looks great with random pieces of paper and almost looks like washi tape was used instead of paper!

First, I take some scraps out of my paper packet and cut scraps 1/4"-1" and lay them across my card base on a diagonal. Be sure they are long enough to go completely across the card and the edges are hanging over the card. I like to coordinate colors and mix and match my patterns.
Second, trim all edges with your scissors. Wow! Doesn't it look amazing! Now I stamp a sentiment inside a oval, square, or circle to add to the center of your card. This card is really easy peasy!
Add embellishments to your card and you have created a "Diagonal scrap" card!

Here is the shopping list for this card:
X7195B Jackson paper
A1173 The Best Dad Ever
1388 Colonial White paper
Z2114 Cocoa ink
Z2165 Juniper ink
Z2641 Glacier ink
Z2104 Barn Red ink
Z1921 Bakers Neutral twine
Z3041 Oceanside sequins
Z697 Sponge
Z1979 Marvy Journaling pen
Z1151 3-D foam tape

in Black archival ink. I like this ink pad best because it doesn't smear as much when using your markers.
Then I take a ShinHan marker and color the whole image and outline with a darker color or same color to give it a shadowed look. I then take my blender and gently lighten the center of my image. This makes the ice cream, ect. look a little more realistic.

You can purchase this stamp set starting June 1st! If you place a $50 purchase you can get it for a great value at $5!!
You can order these products and more on my OBA @ www.creativescrapbooking.ctmh.com

Paper Fundamental Cards

Hi All!
Do you have a lot of scraps laying around? These are great cards to use some of those up! I had a lot of Whimsey Fundamental scraps not being used, so I sat down this week and decided to design some cards that I could use those extra scraps up!
Here's two matching cards that I came
up with!
I also used 3 different stamp sets on these cards. I love how they turned out! The black shimmer trim really gave it that added sparkle!

Here is the shopping list:

C1613 Paper Bird
C1612 Shower Flowers
D1647 Documenting Moments
Z2033 Whimsey Fundamentals
Z1809 Black shimmer trim
Z1754 Black and Grey sparkles
Z1151 3-D foam tape
Z2196 Smoothie ink
Z2641 Glacier ink
Z2105 Black ink
Z1923 Smoothie striped washi tape
Z1686 Cricut Art Philosophy Collection
Z1790 Cricut Artiste Collection
1386 Black cardstock
1385 White Daisy cardstock

You can order these products and more on my OBA @ www.creativescrapbooking.ctmh.com

I cut random sizes of paper strips from 1/4" to 3/4". I added the black shimmer trim and washi tape in between the paper and left a space to stamp the arrows in black.
The heart is cut 1 3/4 on page 51 in Artiste. I cut the black heart at 2" and glued the white heart on top of the black one.
The white circle was cut at 2" and the Whimsey blue paper was cut at 2 1/4" using Art Philosophy on pages 21 and 31.
I scalloped the edges of a piece of White Daisy and glued this piece to card #2. I drew stitching lines using a fine tip black pen at the top of the scalloped piece.
I did this on the circle too.
The hearts, scalloped circle, and flowers are all 3-D.
The "You Make me Smile" was stamped in black on a piece measuring 1 x 3. I cut a dove tail on one end.

I hope you enjoyed viewing these fun cards! Have fun using up some of your old scraps! It's fun to use several colors on these cards as well!

Simply Sweet Card

Happy Tuesday!

Today, I am sharing a card I designed using CTMH's Taste of Summer paper and stamps. This card was so much fun to create! I loved how it turned out with the the fun layers and the "Sweet" Cricut image!

Be sure to get your Taste of Summer paper and matching stamp set by May 31st!! This is the last day of our National Scrapbooking Month special!
You can get yours at:
www.creativescrapbooking.ctmh.com

Here's the supply list for my card:
Taste of Summer paper and matching stamp set
Z3042 Coral Reef sequins
Z3024 White shimmer trim
Z3036 Flaxen twine
Z1906 Artbooking Cricut Collection (Sweet cut at 7" on page 49)
Z697 Sponge
Z2191 Sunset ink
Z2164 Sorbet ink
Z2128 Hollyhock ink
Z2116 Cranberry ink
Z2155 Topiary ink
1246 Hollyhock cardstock
Z2163 White Daisy cardstock
Z1912 Corner rounder

I layered scraps from 1/4" to 2" and added some white shimmer trim in between. This really gave it that sparkle I was going for. I masked the "Simple" using Sunset ink at the top left side. The strawberries were stamped in Hollyhock first, then I used the rock and roll technique using Cranberry.
The stems were stamped 1st and second generation in Topiary.
For the oranges, I stamped in Sunset first, sponged edges in Sorbet, and for the center of the orange I cut my sponge into 4 wedges. I took one wedge and squeezed it between my fingers and sponged the center doing a circular motion so that your center looks darker than the outside.
After my card has been assembled I used my corner rounder on the edges and glued this piece to my Hollyhock card base.
I glued Flaxen twine on my card and added a bow to the right side.

If you are wanting to scraplift my card or other artwork, please credit me as the artist! I design most of my artwork and it's very time consuming! Thank you!

Thanks for stopping by! I will be posting more Taste of Summer artwork soon!

Happy Creating!

Have a Great day! :)

Here is my first attempt using CTMH Taste of Summer paper and matching stamp set! I love these bright yummy colors! I had so much fun creating this layout! CTMH celebrates National Scrabook Month by offering a great special during the month of May!
Their special this month is a yummy paper packet called "Taste of Summer" and it's a great value at $8.95! You get two each of 6 patterns! That's 12 sheets!
You can order your own paper and the products listed below here or on my website @
www.creativescrapbooking.ctmh.com
